"It’s smart, spacious, different! Was looking for a simple bag pack for work and travel and this is ideal. Fits my laptop, notebook, umbrella couple of pouches, water bottle. Really love the top pocket so I don’t need to rummage through the whole bag for essentials like a phone or ear pods. Love! If in doubt get it! I also got the matching pouch may get another one"
"I’m very pleased with this backpack—it is well designed with strategically placed compartments but not too many of them to confuse things. I’m a little surprised that there isn’t more padding at the back for laptop protection but I use a soft case anyway so it’s fine for me. Also, I don’t use the back side zip section for my laptop but like the internal section at the back for that function. Overall: nice streamlined look and comfortable on the back."
"Really wanted to love this backpack - and I ALMOST do. I'm keeping it because it checks most of my boxes, but two suggestions to make it perfect: 1. Exterior "water bottle" pockets on both sides!! I like to keep my phones and other necessities handy at my right hand, but this only has the exterior slip pocket on the other side. Annoying. 2. Back zipper access (next to the laptop sleeve zipper) into the main compartment of the bag! Then I could access things without flipping over the top flap and getting in that way. Would be a HUGE improvement. Also, I think the fabric feels a little . . . cheap. It's clearly durable, but something about the texture doesn't read as high-end to me. So close to being perfect!!"
"I purchased a Transit Backpack in the cream color back in 2022 before a trip to Italy. It's perfect for travel--the pocket organizing, protected slot for a laptop, roomy external pockets (including water bottle pouch) for quick access, thick straps, I could go on and on. I've taken it on every trip since then--Morocco, Mexico, Peru, back to Italy, short local jaunts--and I've recommended it to everyone I know who's planning a trip. I will say the lighter color is showing some stains and spots to be expected after all the abuse, dragging around, setting on the floor, etc. I must point out that the backpack itself is still in perfect working condition, no tears, zipper malfunctions, strap issues. I bought the grey color which will hide any stains or spots and will ensure many years of additional use."

"The ratings are for the lack of customer service NOT the product. My back pack was “undeliverable" for an unknown reason. It took chatting for over 20 minutes to determine the best solution is to get a refund. I really wanted this back pack that came highly recommended in the NYT Wirecutter magazine, but I have no trust in the delivery company Everlane works with and have asked for a refund."

"I can’t comment about the product, but I think you might appreciate some feedback about the quality of your shippers. I have been tracking my item since I ordered it on March 15, 2026. I ordered this to use during my trip to Mexico, leaving on April 5. Three weeks should be lots of time to receive it, right? The latest updates from tracking are on March 25 when it was handed over to “Last Mile Carrier” and March 27 when, “The item is on transport to the local sorting centre”. The graphic, “ In Transit Estimating delivery time. . . ” has never provided any information. It is now March 31, 2026. I hope I will receive my delivery before my departure, but I am not hopeful."
