Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.
We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.
We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.
Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

"I continue to buy Everlane Original Cheeky Jeans for style, cut and especially the fit. I had to size up and found the quality consistent with my previous purchases. I love the hand and weight of the denim wash after wash. I’m also into organic cotton and know that it’s healthier for me and the earth."

These have a weird look at the ankle and do not flatter my backside. i bought a size 26 and felt they are true to size. "I was attempting to replace jeans I purchased in 2008. Straight jeans, dark wash. Size 29 with a 26 inseam. Looking to go up one size in the waist. Although they still fit. These jeans were thin. too tight in the waist and thigh. They also flared at the hem. Why are they lighter in the front? Not even Old Navy quality. I'm unable to use them. It's a final sale, and I have two pairs. I'm going to only consider other unique items or cargo pants from Everlane. Their jean descriptions are too wordy and offer little value in making a fitting decision. Do better!"
