We updated the Original Cheeky® Jean with an even higher rise, a straighter leg, and a raised back-hook seam. Plus, it features our signature Happy Pockets, which are set higher and closer together for an even bouncier, lifted look. Even better? It’s made of our cleanest denim fabric yet.* Not afraid of a French tuck or cropped tee, she’s an all-season girlie, ready for anything. *This jean is made of organic cotton and Roica® V550 yarn—i.e., the first stretch yarn worldwide that isn’t made with harmful chemicals. This innovative fabric, along with the use of microplastic-free dyes and recycled trim, has allowed us to be one of the first companies to make denim that doesn’t dirty the planet. Learn more here.

Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.

The Only Toxic We Appreciate Is the Song

We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.

Measured, Not Marketing

We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.

"I was attempting to replace jeans I purchased in 2008. Straight jeans, dark wash. Size 29 with a 26 inseam. Looking to go up one size in the waist. Although they still fit. These jeans were thin. too tight in the waist and thigh. They also flared at the hem. Why are they lighter in the front? Not even Old Navy quality. I'm unable to use them. It's a final sale, and I have two pairs. I'm going to only consider other unique items or cargo pants from Everlane. Their jean descriptions are too wordy and offer little value in making a fitting decision. Do better!"

Everlane sold out- what a disgrace

"My thoughts are that following the news that Everlane been acquired by SheIn, I am embarrassed to wear these pants in public. Luckily Everlane has a decent secondhand market which is the only way I will ever purchase something from this brand. You are a disgrace to the fashion industry. Shame on you for ever marketing yourself as a company with a spine. How dare you think that your profit is worth that of human suffering that we all know happens in Sheehan and other fast fashion factories. You disgust me."

Not what it used to be

"I've owned this same style of jeans in other washes from 3+ years ago, and the current version is made of a much thinner, floater denim that sits strangely on the body, especially around the ankle, where it wants to flare. The sizing has also changed, and shifted to run small by about half a size."

So I ordered the exact same size since I liked the way they fit et voila - what I got seems to be a replica so I am happy with the product. "They were not as expected and completely different to my other cheeky jean. Completely different material - very soft and stretchy as opposed to sturdier denim of my other pair of original cheeky jeans. I'm super disappointed as I can't return them because they're in the sale and now stuck with a pair of jeans that don't fit well and Everlane don't accept returns on sale items."

The inseam is 2. 5 inches short!

"The jeans fit great. I’m between 27-28 and I’m glad I ordered the 28, the fit is perfect. However, I ordered the 28. 5 inch inseam and received jeans that had an attached tag stating 28. 5 inseam…but they measure 26”. This is a huge disappointment since they are final sale. I checked my receipt, the tags on the jeans, and measured. They’ll still be ok for summer with sandals and flats…but not the jeans I was hoping for."
