The Cleanest Denim You'll Find.

Conventional denim production is dirty business and we’re on a mission to clean it up. Here's how we're doing it differently—and why that matters for you.

Better Is Our Starting Point

Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.

The Only Toxic We Appreciate Is the Song

We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.

Measured, Not Marketing

We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.

Can't Have Quality Without Standards

Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

Reviews

My favorite jeans

"The Gardener Way High are the most flattering jeans I own- by far."

Gina H. (5/5)

LOVE!

"Love these pants and the pockets that run from the front to the back. You can wear these up with a nice pair of shoes or boots or could wear them down with a pair of sandals."

Heather G. (5/5)

Great fit, broken zipper

"Shame about the defect, but overall, a good pair of jeans"

Lenore T. (3/5)

Comfortable

"I love these jeans. Super cute style, extremely useful pockets and a nice mid rise. Length and leg style is great"

Teresa O. (5/5)

LOVE LOVE LOVE

"I’m obsessed with these! 25s in the curvy way high jean used to be my favs, but post baby they fit but aren’t comfortable…if you know, you know. So I was looking for a loose jean & found these! I bought in a 26 and probably could wear a 25, but I like the loose comfy feeling!! Couldn’t recommend enough, these are so cool."

Frances J. (5/5)

Love these pants

"I’ve had my eye on the Gardeners jeans for a while and finally grabbed some while they were on sale. I am 5’3, waist 30in, hip 39, and typically wear a size 29 in everlane but after reading the reviews I bought a size 28. They fit well but get a little loose throughout the day and I could have probably bought a 27 as well. I’ve worn them 3x in a week and a half and get compliments each time I go out. They are effortlessly cool. If you are on the fence-just buy them, especially if they are still on sale"

Allison C. (5/5)

I actually saw these in

"I actually saw these in black at a second-hand store and became obsessed! Would have snapped that pair up but they weren’t in my size. These went on sale so I grabbed them. I absolutely adore them! I’m a skinny, 66-year-old who refuses to dress my age and have loved big pants since before MC Hammer! Love the fit (28, just like my Madewell size). They are heavy at first but they calm down after a couple of washes. I wanted the cropped ones so I bought these and chopped them! Indispensable."

Elizabeth F. (5/5)

"I have a 27” waist, 40” hip, and I’m 5’6. These weren’t as long as I had hoped (hitting just below my ankle). I ordered a size 26 because the reviews said this product runs big. I’d say they fit just right in the hips and waist area (I wouldn’t have gone smaller). I love the horizontal seam on the leg and the big pockets look effortlessly cool. One thing to be aware of, if you carry your phone (or anything else for that matter) just be aware that it’ll travel a lot within those big pockets."

Emily (4/5)

Cute but thin too stretchy

"The denim is stretched out and leaving creases that look slopppy kinda sad these won’t hold up"

Cassie C. (2/5)

Great style. This is my SECOND pair and I hope to get more

"Nice jeans. Great price. I have these in another color way and wear them a TON. I do wish they were darker but whatever. They are good. *Check your actual measurements against the Everlane size chart*. The 26 in this jean fits more like a 27 in other company's jeans."
