great fit, but not durable fabric
"I really liked the fit and color of these pants. They are versatile and the fabric does not wrinkle easily. However, within seven months the fabric wore out around the seat and back pocket until there were holes."

The Japanese GoWeave Way-High® Tapered Pant in Black offers a laid-back luxe and versatile style with an extra-high rise and taper-leg cut. While the fabric is generally praised for its comfort, some customers find it too thin or clingy. The fit and size have mixed reviews, with some finding it great and durable, while others experienced tightness or found size 2 too big.

"This may be my first ever negative review for an Everlane item. I found the garment sizing chart to be as accurate as it usually is in pants and jeans for me and Everlane. That’s always a big win for me. But where this item fell off was the fabric. Most of the reviews were favorable and the descriptions sounded, like it was up to Everlane‘s standards. But this fabric was more like lining than it was pants fabric. It came so wrinkled that nothing would take the wrinkles out of it. I even resorted to washing them and hanging them up to dry, but the fabric is just plain awful . If they were not final sale, I would definitely have returned them. At this point, I would never purchase anything that was Japanese Go Weave. I’ve never seen fabric that was written up so well to turn out being so cheap."
"I’m a 33 in all other brands of jeans so naturally I ordered that size. I purchased 3 pairs of jeans and one pair of slacks nothing fits! It’s all too tight and the kicker I didn’t Realize everything was final sale! Crying in 450$"
"Wanted to love these pants despite mixed reviews. Material was weird, not very comfortable and didn’t sit right. Pants were very tight around calves despite fitting elsewhere, and this is not an issue I typically have. And the left was not sewn the same way as the right, so one leg looked twisted. Poor quality overall."
"Even following the size chart, these panta were way too big. Material feels awful, as well."
"I don't know why these pants have such negative reviews. They are *almost* perfect, but do have a few flaws. Pros - I find the fabric to be nice. It's a true black, more lightweight and silky than I was expecting, and drapes nicely. The waist is nice and high and the inseam is perfect for me at 5'6"". They don't restrict my movement and I could see wearing these for travel, casually, and in the office. Cons - the waist is a little roomy. I wish pants had an elastic waistband to accommodate multiple sizes. This isn't a deal breaker for me, though. I can wear them without a belt for a more casual look and use a belt if I want to look more polished. Think of these pants like an elevated pair of Dickies, which also fit loose in the waist, but are way less forgiving in the hips and crotch area. These pants are way more comfortable IMO. I took my normal size 2 in Everlane's high waisted style."
"I had high hopes for these pants, but I am ultimately disappointed because they get really wrinkled quickly, making them look more rumpled and less professional early on in the day. They are also a bit too short, hitting my ankle or a little above (I'm 5'8'') but I'm used to this with Everlane pants. They run large. I ordered a size 4, my usual size, and they were huge. The size 2 is still a little too big for me. I wish I could return, but I took the tags off already."

"I have to wear it with the belt otherwise its gaping in the waste. Not the fan of fabric. It gets charged with static electricity from movement and klings to my legs."
"I like these a lot. They're less formal than a wool suit and great for hot weather. I get them dry cleaned occasionally, never wash. I do wish the pants didn't wrinkle so deeply but I still enjoy wearing them. I did take a size smaller relative to my usual ""way high"" size. There is no stretch but the waist seems larger on these."
