Linen: A Natural Performance Fabric

Breathable, durable, and inherently lower impact. True European linen is rare—making up less than 1% of textiles sold globally. Here's what makes ours better.

Breathable by Nature

What touches your skin all day should come from the earth, not a lab. Natural fabrics breathe, move, and respond to your body in ways synthetics can't replicate — and linen does it better than most. Especially on the days it matters most. Hot commute. Long lunch. That hour when the afternoon just won't quit. Linen handles it. You stay cool.

Light on You. 74% Lower Impact by Design

Our Masters of Flax Fibreâ„¢ linen is grown in France without GMOs, with little-to-no irrigation, and extracted through a fully mechanical process with zero waste. A third-party Life Cycle Assessment confirms: certified Masters of Flax Fibreâ„¢ production cuts carbon emissions by over 74% and reduces water use and soil nutrient pollution compared to conventional linen. Not a marketing claim. A verified fact.

Certified at Every Step, So You Know Where It Came From

Every processor in our linen supply chain must be certified to the Masters of Flax Fibreâ„¢ (previously European Flaxâ„¢) Standard, which means full traceability from raw material to finished garment. No self-reported claims. No gaps in the chain. Just independently verified standards that hold us accountable all the way through.

Proven to Last

Our linen is made from extra-long flax fibers — stronger by nature and woven into a fabric that holds up where others break down. Rigorously tested from development through pre-production for durability, consistency, and performance. What you get is a fabric that softens with every wash, holds its shape over years, and earns its place as a wardrobe staple. Fewer replacements. More years of wear.

My new favorite shorts!

"I don't know what Everlane does to make their stuff so soft, but these are too comfortable! I love that they are breathable for warmer days, but thick enough for when it transitions into fall. The color has not washed out after multiple washes, and the pants don't get too loose, which is what I wished for if I had gotten a smaller size. That being said, I always size down from the start when shopping at Everlane, and I did that here, too. But as noted, I didn't have to size down two sizes, as these don't get loose with wear. Highly recommend, and I'll be wearing these for work and personal time."

They are not long shorts.

"I'm 5'4", typically wear a size 10, which is what I ordered and they fit, but the length is mid-thigh? I wouldn't really call this long. The description and pics are misleading. Nothing really special here, not worth the price tag."

Gorgeous shorts

"I bought these in the Beech colorway, and they are just gorgeous. Classic and elegant shorts, they look great with sandals or kitten heels. They're lightweight and so comfortable. Glad I took the chance to purchase these when I could, I am sure to wear them a lot."

A line Short

"I was hoping for a lighter linen . Otherwise ,very nice."

Size down!

"These are very cute but they are huge everywhere. I’m a solid size 4 in Everlane bottoms but I think I needed a size 0. Final sale so sadly I’ll be donating them."

SHEIN BRAND

"For anyone not yet aware, Everlane has been purchased by fast fashion conglomerate Shien. The primary reason to purchase from this brand - ethical, sustainable clothing, has effectively been removed, as any consumer money spend on this clothing will also be going into supporting unpaid labor and fast fashion practices. I will no longer be supporting this brand, because it does not align with my values, and I feel that for a basic pair of shorts, my money is better spend secondhand."
