"Cute but on my pear shape it’s not great. Big in the waist and tight in the thighs. Slit is pretty high."

Conventional denim production is dirty business and we’re on a mission to clean it up. Here's how we're doing it differently—and why that matters for you.
Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.
We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.
We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.
Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

"Love everything! Client for over 10 years…one of my favorite brands!"
"I was skeptical after reading the reviews and seeing the fit issues. I bought it anyway final sale after chatting with the fit consultant and I couldn't be happier. She recommended that I size down to 26 (I usually wear 27 in Everlane jeans/pants, 28 petite for other brands) and it's perfect. Not too tight when you sit down, looks fitted and chic when I stand up. I'm tempted to buy it in another color."
"This denim skirt is just what I wanted. I bought several brands but was never happy with any of them. I ordered it anyway and was so glad I did. I sized up because that’s just me. And my experience with denim is they shrink a bit once you wash them. Although they are definitely true to size. I have always relied on Everlane’s quality - they never disappoint. I can now say I’ve stopped looking for the perfect denim skirt."
"I read the reviews. I ordered a size down. And it was still way too big! I ended up spending another $30 taking the waist in. Just a bummer of a purchase. The two stars is because the material is soft and comfortable. Hoping to still get some wear out of it."
"Love the style, but surprised by how roomy it was in the waist. Size down."
"I loved this skirt and really wanted it to work, but the slit came up too high in front such that when I sat down, it was too revealing for an elementary school teacher. I thought the best fit was a size down from my usual."
"I ordered size 24 R of this skirt, but when I received it, it was too big for me. I measured it with a measuring tape, and I was astonished to find that it was 28 inches around but still labeled as 24! According to Everlane's Size Guide, size 24 is supposed to be 25 inches at the smallest point. A skirt of 28 inches around should've been labeled as 27. Obviously, this is beyond the realm of ""running large"" and should've been labeled 3 sizes up. I reached out to Everlane's customer service and asked for an exception for an exchange of this final sale item, but they were firm on their policy. Bargain hunters, be aware. . . you might end up wasting money instead of the other way around. It's too bad because I've always been happy with Everlane products, and I would've been happy with this skirt too if it fit me right, or the customer service made it right. I now must reconsider shopping there again."
"Love the skirt. Fit is perfect for me, I have a short torso, so the mid rise hits perfect just above my hips. . . higher waisted things so not work for me . Fabric is soft. I ordered an inch bigger than usual as I wanted slightly looser fit."
