Conventional denim production is dirty business and we’re on a mission to clean it up. Here's how we're doing it differently—and why that matters for you.
Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.
We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.
We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.
Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

"I love, love this Jacket. It is very unique and I get so many compliments. I actually purchased another on when it went on sale."
"This is definitely a unique style that I wanted to work so badly, but alas, it looks like a potato sack on. It only work if the jacket is both buttoned AND tied on top of pleated straight pants maybe? But other than that I just couldn't style this properly. The material is a great, structured 100% cotton, and it fits slightly loosely true to size."
"This jacket weights 5 kg! The fabric is very heavy. I feel like a sumo wrestler in it. Its way too big and does not flatter my figure. The color is also nothing what you see on the picture. Its more like dirty white/gray. The cloth I use to wipe the floor has a nicer off white color than this jacket. I am not going to shop with this vendor ever again."
"I like the fabric, the color, and the shape. I could do without the belt. It looks way better without the belt."
"Honestly it looks better on the model. The shoulder part slouches over my shoulders in an odd way. When I tried tying the strap it just fit badly. Wearing it as a loose fit is better. However it would have been nice to fit both ways. I have a S I’m usually a small in jackets"
"I bought the chore coat in black last year and it never felt quite right—too bulky, a little boring, too oversized in a “that’s too big” not “you borrowed it from your boyfriend” way. This coat balances the sturdiness and utility of denim with a cute, more “ladylike” finish—belt, collarless neckline, contrast buttons. I also sized down and that helps. The cream color is out of my comfort zone and I wish there was a black option. Lost points for shipping: after 4 weeks of waiting I reached out to Everlane and they confirmed my order was lost. Points gained because they were super helpful, promptly sent me another coat, which I received in a reasonable amount of time but with a badly damaged box."
"I guess it’s my fault for thinking it would look anything like the model on me, but I find this jacket to be awful. I bought the correct size, but it just looks like a bag with a tie barely holding it in place. It might look decent if I lost 40 pounds… skip this one if you have any sort of volume in the chest area. It tents horribly."
"Was looking for a lightweight, casual jacket that was a little more sophisticated than a light puffer. This one fits the bill - nice structure, material and I like the belt option to cinch the waist/give it more shape. Also has great pockets. Sized down from my usual small - Everlane jackets tend to be a little big on me in my regular size."
"Design and material are nice. But bought a size too big"
"Sized down and it fits perfectly."
