The Cleanest Denim You'll Find.

Conventional denim production is dirty business and we’re on a mission to clean it up. Here's how we're doing it differently—and why that matters for you.

Better Is Our Starting Point

Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.

The Only Toxic We Appreciate Is the Song

We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.

Measured, Not Marketing

We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.

Can't Have Quality Without Standards

Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

Well made shorts but with Elastanr

"I have these in the lighter wash and absolutely love them. I got the black thinking they’d be the same but the fabric content had added elastane. It definitely says that in the description but of course I didn’t read that before purchasing again. Anyway they’re still nice and comfortable and I just think 100% cotton wears throughout the day so much better."

Kelly C. (4/5)

"These are a great length. They are casual without showing too much leg. Well made medium weight fabric. 5’7” 130 lbs and size 26 is perfect."

Jennifer (5/5)

Love em

"So comfy! I sized slightly up. Perfect for dressing up and down in the hot summer weather and even into the transitional weather."

Nicole D. (5/5)

A lot wider than expected

"I though I would love these and was really disappointed when I didn’t. They are dad cut shorts but too A line in my opinion."

Stephanie M. (3/5)

Not flattering

"I found these shorts to be tight in the waist and too boxy in the hips. Very disappointed. Might look better on a tall, thin person."

Karen W. (1/5)

Believe the name; truly an A-frame

"It’s difficult to get a feel for the actual shape from the model, but if you have any semblance of a curve, these shorts truly have an A-frame shape. The bottom outer hem comes away from the body in a pointy fashion. The look is cute, and the fit is okay. Zero stretch. I have a curvier body, so there is gapping at the waist. Wish Everlane had a curve version for their zero stretch shorts."

Julie B. (4/5)

New Favorite Shorts

"As a petite gal, I worried this proportion would be risky, but thankfully these shorts hit a few inches above the knee and have the exact casual, put-together vibe I was looking for. I love that they can be dressed up with a nice button up + loafers"

Millicentp (5/5)

A new go to

"Practical and comfortable, I wear these a lot. They look better than in the photos."

nellie d. (5/5)

Incorrect size chart

"For all the things I have heart about Everlane sizes running really small, these shorts are too big. I followed the size chart with exact measurements, and should have gone with my normal size in other brands. They’re cute but wish I had gone with my gut rather than the size Everlane recommends."

Perfect

"These are exactly the fit and length I was looking for!"
