Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.
We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.
We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.
Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

"I’m always looking for the perfect 70s style jeans and this style & color don’t disappoint! I feel well proportioned in them, as they balance out my curves. They fit pretty true to size, with a little bit of leeway in the waist for comfort. You could easily tuck a shirt in without them feeling too tight. Love them so much!"

"I read the reviews and then emailed Everlane about sizing as I was still unsure. For reference I am 5'10*, and 160 lbs. I was recommended to buy the jeans in a 28. Luckily for me, they were sold out of that size so I ordered the 30. They are still too small! They are also just barely long enough on me, although some buyers said they were very long, so I guess if you are tall they are not very long. These jeans were final sale so I may try to wear them and hope they stretch out a little. A shame because they were final sale so I'm stuck with them now. They seem high quality though."

"My favorite pair of jeans by far! I love the firm denin and design, it holds you in and makes your butt look amazing! Isn't that what a great pair of jeans is supposed to do? I do not like denim with stretch as it can often make you look wider. I wish they came in petite but I am dealing with the lenght with some heals."
"Love these. . High rise but not rib crushing high rise which is a great relief to this mid rise fan. Flattering fit and true to size,. . probably works best on straighter bodies though, as there is not a lot of room for fuller hips,butts and thighs. I bought 2 pairs and would buy a dark wash pair if one became available"
"These jeans are solidly constructed, very comfortable, incredibly flattering, and gorgeous. You should buy a size that feels tight when you put them on, which is 2"" or more of negative ease (so buy a 50"" hip measurement if your actual hip measurement is 48"") in the hips. At least, that strategy worked for me. I'm sometimes between sizes with waist measurements, so I make decisions based on the waist, hip, and inseam measurements when buying online. Since these are 98/2 jeans (mostly made of cotton) they will stretch nicely after a few wears. I can feel how incredibly sturdy they are, which is refreshing. My other ""jeans"" have become so thin and flimsy that I forgot how good it feels to wear real jeans again! I'm thrilled with this purchase and with the ethical and environmental practices that I believe Everlane engages in. I am already a repeat customer, as this is probably my new go-to jeans brand!"
