Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.
We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.
We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.
Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

"I was really dissapointed by these overalls! The fit was great through the hips but the straps are a little bit too wide for the hardware to tighten them. This makes the straps fold over in a strange way. I hope Everlane can amend this design flaw by widening the hardware or cutting the straps a bit thinner."

"Carrier (UniUni) has been ignoring my service requests. They shipped it to my place but I wasn’t in town to receive it. I got an email that they’ll follow up once it’s back in their warehouse but never received notice. I’ve followed up 3 times and still nothing. Really disappointed and frustrated as this was supposed to be a Christmas present for my sister. Awful."
