The Cleanest Denim You'll Find.

Conventional denim production is dirty business and we’re on a mission to clean it up. Here's how we're doing it differently—and why that matters for you.

Better Is Our Starting Point

Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.

The Only Toxic We Appreciate Is the Song

We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.

Measured, Not Marketing

We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.

Can't Have Quality Without Standards

Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

Reviews

Cute, not dorky!

"Super cute shorts! I was hesitant about bermuda shorts, but being over 40 and now prioritizing comfort these are it. I’ve been a 32 in Everlane jeans with stretch, so with these being all cotton, I went for the 33. The shape is great on my body and these aren’t as awkward/dorky as I imagined. Haha. Excited to wear these with everything this summer."

Favorite Shorts

"I ordered a pair a few years ago and my size has since changed - so happy that my new size was in stock! I live in these shorts come warm weather. They’re comfortable and flattering. This style does run large in my opinion, so I bought one size down for the perfect fit."

Alyssa C. (5/5)

Wide hip friendly

"I love these shorts! As someone in her 30s, I'm not trying to wear skin tight stretchy shorts anymore. These are so flattering. I have ample room in the hip and legs but the a line cut gives me a great silhouette. The denim is of high quality! Very comfortable and very flattering."

A-Line Shorts

"Originally received the wrong item but after emailing customer service I was immediately contacted and the correct order was on its way same day. When the shorts came in they fit as expected and the quality feels great. Thank you!"

Sloan H. (4/5)

just know that the materials

"just know that the materials of the white denim is 98% cotton and 2%Elastane and the black and green are 100% cotton. I ordered both white and Black, didnt pay attention to the material for the white. (thought its the same as black) Should of down size the white!"

Quality, versatile denim shorts

"Love the roomy, relaxed fit. The silhouette is somewhat reminiscent of a skirt… or maybe a short version of culottes. Even though they’re denim shorts essentially, I like that they can be super casual or dressed up (e. g. , with a washed silk shirt or a blazer). The garment is well-constructed and the sizing is accurate. I purposely sized up from my usual 27 to 28 and they fit great. 5’7” ~135lbs. The wash is how it’s shown. Smooth coloring throughout."

HARIM K. (5/5)

"I am curvy on bottom and wanted to love these shorts but I need to get them tailored. There is major gapping in the back between my back and the back of the shorts. Otherwise, the shorts are a great color, fit nicely around my thighs, good material."

Charlot (3/5)

great feel and color but

"great feel and color but runs large/sizing and shape are off! Had to wash + dry for shrinkage before they fit better but belt still needed ~ they run larger than other everlane denim (it was giving low rise basketball shorts at first) would recommend sizing down by 1 and definitely do not go by waist inches"

Sharina T. (3/5)

Disappointed

"Despite choosing my size carefully from the size guide on the Everlane Website. The only part of these shorts that fit properly was the waist. The legs were super wide and the shorts were very baggy especially around the crotch area. They looked nothing like the advertised picture and, frankly, looked awful! There was nothing remotely chic about them."

Jennifer T. (2/5)

Run huge

"These would be cute but they run huge. Quality of construction is great. I bought a size 0 and it fits like a size 6 or 8. I actually sized down from a size 2 to 0. I am 5’2”, 110lb, 26 in waist, 35. 5 in hips."
