That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.
We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.
We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.
Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. "These are medium weight, all cotton and loose fitting jeans. I bought the 27 light indigo color. I am usually a size 27 in Everlane denim but these feel overly loose in the waist and hips. Perhaps that is the look they were going for but I would have sized down if I could return them. Bought on final sale so no. Still they are comfortable and can look stylish."
"Excellent quality, but not for me. I ordered my usual Everlane size 28 and these fit oversized on me. I have a 30in waist, and I needed a belt in order for these to stay up. The inseam was way to long for my height 5'3". I could have rolled up the cuffs, but even so, the fit is so oversized that it wouldn't have looked good on me. Better for taller people."
"Love these jeans, currently the comfiest in my closet. They have definitely loosened up after a few wears but I really like them. I can wear with a belt higher on the waist and the length is perfect for me, to the floor (I'm 5'6"). If you prefer them tighter then size down. I wonder how well the quality will hold up and if they will wear out in the knees like some other everlane jeans I have. . ."

"I like the jeans fine and they are comfortable. A bit less structures than their others. The only thing is the are the same size and rise as other Everlane denim I have and the waist is broader. They sag a bit and need to be washed far more often to keep them from looking meh. I thought they might shrink in the dryer but not enough."
