- 100% Cotton Waffle Tips and Tricks:
- Washing:
- Use cold water and a gentle cycle to prevent excessive shrinkage and color fading.
- Use mild detergent to protect the fabric’s texture.
- Avoid overloading the washing machine; give your tee space to move.
- Drying:
- While our waffle knit tees are tumble dry low-safe, we recommend laying your tee flat to dry if you are concerned with shrinkage.
- If you tumble dry your tee and notice shrinkage, don’t worry. You can often recover its original size and shape.
- To recover from shrinkage, gently stretch your tee back to its original shape while it’s still damp. Focus on the areas that have shrunk, such as the length or width.
- After stretching, lay it flat to dry to maintain its shape.
- You can use a warm iron with steam to further help recover from shrinkage. Iron the tee on a low to medium heat setting, using steam as needed.
- After ironing, lay it flat to cool to maintain its shape.
- Cotton waffle knit tees may experience some shrinkage due to the nature of the fabric. The textured waffle pattern can contract when exposed to water and heat during washing and drying. However, with proper care and wear, the fabric typically recovers well over time.

The Organic Content Standard (OCS) is a third-party verified certification standard that certifies organic content and traceability from farm to finished garment. We use the OCS Blended standard and logo on products containing organic cotton blended with other fibers.

Currently, over 75% of our cotton use is certified organic. Using organic cotton means cleaner and lower water usage, lower pesticide use, healthier soil, and a safer working environment for cotton farmers, compared to conventional cotton production. We utilize Textile Exchange's Organic Content Standard (OCS) and other leading industry organic manufacturing standards to certify applicable products from farm to finished garment.
