Wherever we can, we use recycled materials to lower our carbon footprint and reduce waste. Currently, 97% of the polyester and nylon we use comes from certified recycled sources. To date, we have recycled over nine million plastic bottles, as well as upcycled 1 million pounds of textiles and fishing nets to make our ReNew apparel and accessories and ReKnit footwear. Using recycled materials repurposes resources, reduces inputs, and diverts would-be-waste materials away from landfills. miDori® bioWick is made from microalgae sourced from chestnut trees in Germany and produced in an efficient closed-loop system, where sugarcane waste from a neighboring farm generates 100% of the facility’s electricity and steam. With a ZDHC Level 3 certification for safe chemistry practices, miDori® bioWick provides performance durability and quick-drying properties, while delivering up to 80% CO2e reductions—compared to conventional fast-wicking finishes made from fossil fuels.

"Overall, these shorts are great! They're perfect for what I need (keeping cool in the summer while still looking presentable in public, haha). They're moisture-resistant and the black is great for hiding how casual they are, while the elastic waistband is super comfortable. The ties are a mixed bag — really useful for reining in the waistband but definitely add another step. Still, by no means a dealbreaker at all. The real struggle I've had is the inseam; most shorts are an issue for bigger hips, because they ride up along the inner thighs and make everything uncomfortable. These *nearly* do the job but would be better if an inch or two longer. Not an issue for most shoppers in all likelihood, but something for thick thighed folks to keep in mind. [This review was collected as part of a promotion]"
