This unique denim for our Organic Stretch Selvedge Jean is woven and dyed at the Candiani Mill in Ticino Park, Italy

They weave our organic cotton on shuttle looms to create this refined, long-lasting 12.5 oz denim, with 2% stretch for broken-in comfort from day one.

Safer For The Environment: Our denim factory partner recycles 98% of their water using reverse osmosis filtration and keeps byproducts out of the environment by mixing them with concrete to create building materials. Reduced CO2 Emissions: The LEED-certified factory that makes our denim uses renewable energy and air drying to reduce its CO2 emissions by 80%. This style uses organic cotton, which is better for the soil and water, and safer for the workers.

Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.

The Only Toxic We Appreciate Is the Song

We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.

Measured, Not Marketing

We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.

Can't Have Quality Without Standards

Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. "These jeans are comfy upon arrival and are a beautiful color. They may run a bit larger than your average slim fit. In fact, they barely seem to fit as slim, but more like straight fit. Nevertheless, I like them. A bit of stretch and very comfy, though not as flattering as a proper slim."

"While the prewash I selected, mid indigo, leaves jeans that wear well right out of the box, you can see the high quality stitching and of course the outside leg seam shows off the Selvedge denim heritage in a comfy more modern denim jean than the raw Selvedge denim which can require a shrink treatment and shrink 1-2 sizes. This jean doesn't need up sizing when ordering, just order your regular size and enjoy!"

"Caution regarding sizing: I ordered same size as organic slim fit (w30), however this style is much too tight in waist and thighs in comparison. Purchased size based on multiple previous orders and fitting - but this pair was bought on sale and can not return."

Designed to Last until Questioned About It

"Loved these jeans. They were a part of my weekly rotation, getting worn once a week. Never did anything crazy in them: no lifting in denim like RFK, no splits, and no running, however the crotch started to slowly tear. No they're unwearable. They are being advertised as “designed to last” but they are from it. When I asked for assistance, none was offered and I find that pretty darn weak of Everlane. I run my own small business, far smaller than Everlane, and we always stand by our products and make things right even if we must replace an item. This is really telling about Everlane about how much they believe in their product that they cower behind a "this was purchased on . . . ". Beyond disappointing but also about right."
