"My first pair of performance chino shorts was purchased in a consignment shop, so I didn't know until I checked Everlane's website that they were actually men's shorts. I have a 30""waist and 37"" hips, so most women's shorts are too tight in the waist for me. These fit perfectly, and at my 5'1"" height, they worked nicely as a longer bermuda length short. They are well made, and the fabric is very sturday and durable."

Fit is good but fake pocket is maddening
"I like the fit, though next time I'll get 6"". I like the fabric, fits me pretty well as a thin guy. But the fake pocket on the back left is maddening. I'll wear these but would not buy them again. Also I don't love how they look in the crotch. I hope they upgrade these, because the fabric and fit is quite nice."

"Like others, I had to size up in order for them to fit. I wear size 30 in the majority of brands but Everlane, I had to size up to 32. This is my second order with them and the quality of the shorts are still as good as the first time I ordered them."
Pockets Sewn Shut - Claims it was Intentional
"I ordered these shorts for my husband in carob and slate gray. When I received the items, I noticed that the carob pair had pockets that were sewn shut. This was not the kind of stitching that would be used to keep the pockets shut before purchase and later removed. It was a very tight stitching, and removing the stitching would have ruined the shorts. I returned for a replacement and paid the fee to return by mail. When the next pair arrived, it was exactly the same. I emailed customer service, and received a reply that says: ""I just got an update from our team, and this is to confirm the 7"" slim fit performance chino short pockets were completely sewn shut - this is intentional; they are not defective. "" Frankly, this is an insult to my intelligence, especially since I also sent a picture of the gray pair - with functioning pockets. After complaining, they agreed to allow me to return by mail without incurring a SECOND return fee as a ""one time exception. "" I get that mistakes happen, but I wish the company would be more transparent and willing to acknowledge mistakes. I actually like the shorts a lot, but if pockets are important to you, I'd look elsewhere."
