"I bought this sweater for my partner, so I’m writing the review on his behalf—but it’s safe to say it’s a hit. It strikes the perfect balance between classic and elevated. The felted merino is soft, warm, and noticeably high quality — no scratchiness at all. It’s become one of my partner’s two essential sweaters for fall and winter (the other one I knit myself!), which says a lot. A handsome, well-made piece that holds its own."

"I gave this to my husband and a good friend. They are both very happy with the fit and feel. The large was perfect for a 5’11” 175 lb guy. 5’8” guy who is 205 with broad shoulders needed XL. The idea to give these as gifts was based on the fact that I gave myself two of these years ago and keep wearing them."
Excellent Sweater, But Needed Alteration
"This sweater is soft, warm, comfortable, and very well constructed. The quality is reflective of the price and much higher than similar pieces I've purchased at a lower price point. I'm especially impressed with the collar—it has very nice structure and stands up very neatly. My one issue was with the fit. Maybe I'm just a little old school, but I was looking for something a little less oversized. I ordered a size down and still needed to take it to a tailor to have a significant amount of fabric taken in from the midsection. With that inexpensive alteration complete, it's basically perfect! I would highly recommend this sweater, but if you're looking for a form-flattering fit, I'd budget for the cost of some light alteration."
