European Flax™ Linen comes from flax fibers cultivated and processed according to the standards set by the European Confederation of Flax and Hemp (CELC). Sourced exclusively from France, it uses no GMOs, little-to-no irrigation, and a 100% mechanical process for zero-waste operation during extraction. Plus, as verified through a third-party LCA, European Flax™’s certified production processes significantly reduce its environmental impact by using less water and minimizing nutrient pollution while lowering carbon emissions by over 74%, compared to conventional linen. Organic cotton uses crop rotation, cover crops, and organic fertilizers instead of toxic chemical fertilizers or pesticides—which means cleaner water, lower water usage, lower pesticide use, healthier soil, and a safer working environment for cotton farmers, compared to conventional cotton.
