Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.
We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.
We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.
Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

"I went into my local Everlane store to buy these after stepping away from the brand for a year or so. My goodness, these jeans are everything. They fit in all the right places. Hands down, some of the best denim I've had. I'm a bit curvier in the seat and these do not ride up at all. 5'5" 132 lbs and waist 26". Perfect jeans. I've returned as a customer happily to the brand."
"This is my first purchase from Everlane since the SHEIN sell/buyout. I would say quality is worse. I don’t have this exact pair of pants to compare but I have the way high sailor jean which I purchased years ago and would say are much better quality and thicker denim. I’m disappointed by these pants. The denim is thin and stretches out through the day. They do not keep their shape. I liked them at first but after wearing for about a month I’ve changed my mind. I would not recommend these if you want jeans that will hold their shape and be long lasting. Quality has definitely gone down."
"These pants are great. I’m on the shorter side, 5’4, and feel like straight leg jeans usually don’t sit right and make me look frumpy. But these jeans are the perfect length and the waist is very fitted so holds me in and looks flattering. When I first put them on the waist was pretty tight, but when you wear them they stretch a bit. I would definitely recommend these!"
"I really like so much about these jeans, but they have a strange bubble of extra fabric on the inner thigh right below the crotch that makes the shape very distracting. It is noticeable enough that I almost feel like these are defective. Otherwise, I really would have loved these jeans. 5’-4”, slim athletic build and the 25 fits great with the shorter inseam hitting right at the ankle."

"I'm 5"4 - 5.5" with a 25" waist and these are the perfect high-rise jeans that I've been looking for. They are nice and comfy with some stretch around the thighs and behind. They feel nice and loose on my calfs without it looking super wide and end right at my ankles. I usually have a really hard time finding jeans that fit my waist where it doesn't look like a have a giant gap in the back - these jeans still leave a little gap (especially if you're sitting down) but it's not as noticable with a sweater tucked in."
