Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.
We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.
We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.
Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

The Mariner Jean in Light Indigo is crafted from low-stretch regenerative cotton, featuring a Way-High waist and wide leg silhouette. "Hilariously large, wide leg pants. I feel like an elephant. Maybe I’ll get them hemmed a bit? Waist fits great but below the belt gets questionable. I don’t know about these…they’re def tucked away in the back of the closet. Not every final sale is a winner ladies."
"I wasn't sure what size to get as this is my first everlane purchase. I measured my waist carefully and it measured 32. 5. I ordered the 31 as these jeans were almost sold out, and they are definitely too big, I could probably wear a 29 if they had had them. Still very nice jeans, but they don't have that fancy trouser look, more like baggy jeans. The length is great, slightly short on my 5'10"" frame which actually goes well with so many shoes. Just wish they were a bit tighter"

I can’t even button them. Honestly, Everlane, love your clothes, but your sizing is all over the place—it’s either spot on or not even close. Lesson learned about buying “final sale. ”"

"Okay, these jeans are SO cute. Thick material, very fun wide leg, some fun details, but I'm an athletic build and at 5'7"", they did nothing for me. Just not flattering on my body type and the length hit me strangely. Would be cute if you're petite or taller. I emailed Everlane about a return and they got back to me SAME DAY. They even personally sent me a return label. Anyone who says customer service is a problem with Everlane, not my experience. I buy from them all the time and their service is next level ALWAYS."
