Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.

The Only Toxic We Appreciate Is the Song

We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.

Measured, Not Marketing

We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.

Can't Have Quality Without Standards

Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

Terrible fit

"Made the mistake of depending on the size guide and purchasing as a final sale online without having tried it on first. I'm petite (5', 108 lbs) and was hoping to avoid a fit that overwhelmed my petite frame. So went with an XXS based on the size guide. The jacket is beautiful, but the proportions for this size are dreadfully off. Everything fits well EXCEPT the shoulders. . . they are so narrow at 14. 5" wide while the pit to pit is a reasonable 18". . . that makes no sense for anyone's body. Not only that, but there is excessively layered, structured fabric on the inside at the shoulders that's super rigid and restricts the shoulders even more. It's so uncomfortable and actually painful. Someone REALLY messed up on this one. And it is Everlane's fault for not being on top of quality control and selling a product, especially as final sale, that can't be worn by anyone. It's actually deceitful. Along with the fact that they've been acquired by Shein, I will not be shopping at Everlane again."

Not as expected

"I wanted to love this jacket and it looked so cute and perfect on the model. However the jacket is actually very heavy and the sleeves are so thick and puffy it makes a girl look like the Pilsbury Dough Boy! It was such a disappointment. And unfortunately it was also a final sale item so I am stuck with an unwearable garment. Hopefully someone at Goodwill can use it"

"I was not looking for this jacket but purchased when the weather quickly changed. I like the roominess in the fit & the outer pockets to put my hands in. It’s really nice to wear with scarfs because it does not have a collar. It has a nice weight to it & not slippery when wearing a purse on my shoulder, (this happens with my puffer jacket). It is good quality denim & can be truly thrown on with anything!"
