"Their straight fit is much more like a loose, relaxed fit. It is so baggy in the legs that it is unwearable, especially those with shorter legs. I would return these immediately if they weren’t final sale."
The Authentic Straight Jean
Conventional denim production is dirty business and we’re on a mission to clean it up. Here's how we're doing it differently—and why that matters for you.
Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.
We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.
We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.
Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

Nice Fit But Not Very Comfortable
"It fits really well. The only issue I have is that the denim doesn't stretch at all so it is not very comfortable to wear."
Sucks
"Look at how my Everlane jeans broke open, the material is like tissue paper…and no my member in a flaccid state is not huge to cause this…I simply sat down and when I stood it was all opened, the cloth unravelled."
Rugged and stylish
"Most of the jeans that are sold today have a stretch fabric incorporated into the denim. As a result, the jeans are not as durable and as long lasting as the traditional denim from the past. I bought these jeans because they are 100 percent cotton. They feel rugged and they look stylish. I’m not a big fan of stretch jeans. I am happy with my purchase."
Vanity sizing
"Good ponts is that the jeans are comfortable and I like the cut of them. I have had two problems with them however which left me disappointed overall. The sizing seems to be large on the waist. I am normally a 36 waist, and as this is an inch measurement it should be exact sizing. Instead it seems to be vanity sizing and more like a 38"" waist. The wash of the dye is also uneven, which has left the fly noticeably faded compared the the rest of the jeans. It looks odd to have your groin area faded compared to the rest of the jeans."
Photo silhouette is slimmer than actual
"The fit and cut of the jeans do not match the photo. The actual jeans are fuller and baggy throughout, and the actual length is longer than specified making the jeans appear to be too big for me. If they were not final sale I would have returned them. That said they are comfortable but I would not wear them out anywhere."
Size up
"For 100% organic cotton, these jeans felt thick and substantial. Unfortunately, sizing is way off compared to other Everlane jeans. My usual 31x30 was way too small in these. Sizing up completely to 32x31 was comparable to 31x30. Do not purchase if you can't return these. The inconsistent sizing will mess you up. But if you're lucky, these are great."
