Recycle Your
Forever Sneaker
Billions of sneakers end up in landfills—
but this one was made to live on.

How It’s Recycled
With the post-consumer waste stream in mind, we designed the Forever Sneaker
with durable, more sustainably sourced materials. Thanks to our partner,
Debrand, everything from the natural rubber sole, recycled laces, and recycled
cotton-canvas upper can be downcycled into something new.

Collect
To divert waste from landfills,
Debrand collects recycled Forever Sneakers
from our distribution center. Then they sort
and prep them for recycling.

Separate
The uppers and soles are separated
by hand so each part can enter its own
recycling stream.
Grind
The rubber soles get chopped
and the canvas uppers get shredded
into small pieces.

Remake

The sole makes up 91%
of the shoe, and all of that
gets remade into equestrian
flooring.

The other 9% comes from the
upper, which gets repurposed into
mats (think door mats and
standing desk pads.)
Even better? All of this happens in North America, which greatly reduces our carbon footprint.

Recycle your Forever Sneaker— just drop them
off in an Everlane store or send them back by mail.
