As an engineer at Everlane, you will be working with technology at a level that goes well beyond what you get at most commerce sites. We are engineering a complete soup to nuts solution which means going several steps beyond what people normally expect when solving the commerce problem.
We need engineers who are as comfortable debugging CSS and Javascript as they are optimizing page load times or writing a new data service. Our priority right now is shipping consumer-facing products and building commerce technologies.
Beyond being technical stars, we want our engineers to be able to make great product decisions, design (and build!) elegant user interfaces, and take a strong leadership role.
Requirements
- The ability to make quick product and technical judgments independently and with little oversight
- Proficiency in one or more common web languages: Java, Ruby, Python, PHP, etc.
- Substantial experience developing web applications
- The number of years of professional experience is not important
- Open source work and/or shipped products are a huge plus
- Everlane is written in Ruby with MySQL as the main data store
